When Covid 19 struck in 2020, my heart went out to all the kids and parents locked down at home.
As a mother of two, with 15 years of experience teaching kindergarten and first grade, I knew how quickly education was about to change. A few years ago I had left teaching to direct an all ages after school program and was well versed in the type of support families needed.

At Coach Kelly LIVE each student is purposefully matched with a coach.
- The process starts by identifying the student's academic needs. The coaches are then narrowed down to those who specialize in that content area.
- Next, we match the availability of those coaches during the times that work best for your family.
- The families are then given options between coaches when possible to choose the best fit for their student.
- Once matched with a coach, the family and coach work together to determine academic goals and plans specific to the student's needs.

Highly interactive, personalized, and fun sessions are designed to get little ones talking, listening, practicing sight words, and enjoying literacy rich conversations.
Elementary Students
Coaches are ready to work with students to build good learning habits, strengthen reading and comprehension, reinforce classroom subject matter in science and math and advance new problem solving skills.
Middle School Students
As academic topics get more complex, quizzes come more often and the homework lists grow longer, coaches are prepared to work with students for subject review, complete homework, practice skills and increase test-taking confidence.
High School Students
Coaches understand the fast pace of high school classes, demands from multiple teachers, and the pressures that come from of academic performance anxiety. Coaches are ready to help students create goals, master class topics and practice skills.
College Students
There’s a wide learning curve from high school to college courses. Coaches are ready to help students get to, and stay, up to speed in every area of their higher education.

Coach Kelly
After 15 years of teaching primarily in Pre-K, Kindergarten & First Grade along with four years running academically rigorous afterschool programming, Kelly Mawhinney has repackaged her skills of being a relational teacher to complete direct instruction with YOUR learner. She holds a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from UCF as well as certifications in ESOL and ESE. She has two teenage sons, two cats and a passion for making learning fun, interactive and right at your learner's point of need.
Coach Emily
Emily McAlpin has worked in education for over 8 years. Her teaching career is blend of six years with Seminole County Public Schools and has 2 years teaching online in interactive sessions. She is certified to teach all students grades K- 6th with a Reading and ESOL endorsement.She has a heart for early childhood education and a passion for teaching reading.
Coach Cait
Cait Baumann has been working in education for over 15 years, 10 of which have been in Seminole County Public Schools in grades 1-5. Her passion for elementary education is relevant in her student-centered classroom and dynamic rapport with her students. She was recently awarded as the 2021 Seminole County Elementary Teacher of the Year and continues to let her passion shine through her students each day. She is eager to work with your student and help them make gains in their learning.
